As a Windows Mobile 6. 1 Professional smartphone, much of the Samsung i900 Omnia's user interface is the same as on dozens of other devices.

We recently played with it and we have to say that it is a really nice phone.

The display is good and bright but its very difficult to read under direct sunlight.
Also the battery life is boosted by its very efficient Marvell PXA312 processor.
It is the best Windows Mobile phone in terms of multimedia capabilities.
Touch interface is hap hazard and inconsistent with WM UI. 5MP camera may sound cool but photo tends to be soft.
The phone is alive because I can call my number and the device vibrates each time the screen is touched.

The OMNIA runs on Windows Mobile 6. 1 and boasts a 5MP camera.
For optimal reception with cingular/At&t wireless please check if the phone you are about to purchase is a Quad Band Phone or include both bands 850MHz & 1900MHz!
Its going to be the best phone in the present market.

Not that its a bad phone.
While using the i900, did you atall feel that the WQVGA screen was lacking in it's resoution especially when you have played with the Diamond VGA and the S. E X1 WVGA screens.
The camera - quality is poor indoors and has a long delay in taking the photos, which result in image blur.
Dave, You didn't show the third type of today screen with the scrollable icons, time, missed calls/email, etc.
One of the most annoying design flows in Samsung i900 Omnia is the microSD card slot placement.
Web browser lacks real Flash support
It is also a good decision, as the Omnia lacks a stylus, so you can still click precisely with this thing. nice.

Definitely don't need the business features of the Omnia, but I just figured those were extras that the Instinct doesn't have, not that the phone was actually very different. (And of course the price is probably ridiculous too, like you suggest. ) Thanks for the breakdown.
