Tested it last night over Next G and with the RDP software as well, worked flawlessly and speed was excellent.
That's partly because there's no lack of power here, and while it would have been nice for i-mate to include a decent software bundle, other features like the beautiful VGA screen and video out are fantastic additions.

as a kaiser owner of almost 3 weeks i can't recommend it highly enough, it's a great upgrade over the JasJam - thinner, faster CPU, more RAM, comes with WM6, nicer keyboard, GPS, microSD slot with SD 2. 0 support. . . the list could go on :)

I've switched to HANDYMENU and HANDYSWITCHER , nice bits of software, the larger shells of SPB and OMEGA seem to grind the WinMob6 down a bit.

There's a nice chrome bevel around the screen that sets it nicely into the matt black case.
The slide out screen form factor makes the 9502 an excellent candidate for an in car GPS system.
It can always be enhanced by the use of a MicroSD storage card of capacity up to 2GB but remember the 9502 cannot take an SDHC card which may be addressed in a future ROM release, we'll see.
As we all know though, it's not all about the size of your pixel count so how does the image quality of the i-mate hold up? As you can see from the example photographs below the camera produces a very nice image (for a phone camera) that you could even produce a small (6x4) print from.
The hardware camera is better than I was expecting and the device operated swiftly and without the lag we've come to expect.

Integrated GPS ensures, that you can find any location you desire (software required), further pushing the capabilities of the i-mate Ultimate 9502, and reducing the requirements for a number of separate, bulky devices.
In terms of responsiveness, i think i-mate would make a lot of happier users if they had either a faster processor or a very good look around to find out why the i-mate Ultimate 9502 feels so slow - and freezes so much.
Perhaps my only real disappointment with the device is the keyboard.
The headset connector is 2. 5mm in size, which is a disappointment as you can't use your favourite headphones without an adaptor to 3. 5mm, and the processor struggled a little to do everything we asked of it.
It may be powerful, but there are reasons the 9502 missed the mark.
If you are replacing your Dopod 900, the only 3 things you will miss is the larger screen, keyboard, and the HUGE size.

the 9502 are ugly Business uers bricks, with GPS, 640x480 remote desktop, zillions of windows mobile Apps avaliable and exchange server support.
There is a kind of noise, it works through the loud speaker only and sound is bad :( But according to an Imate 9502 user in another forum it seems to be working with bluetooth stereo headset using the AD2P protocol.
Any tips with the GPS setup, com port etc? read back a couple of pages re gps settings. you have to use the gps manager under wm settings and set" gps in port" to non. sounds strange but it works. also have to manually turn gps on.
One wierd thing is that I cannot get my home or work notebook to pick up the phone bluetooth for communication, no problem connecting with the in car bluetooth Supertooth though. . . .
GPS start-up speed is still a problem, 2-5 minutes of waiting for it to find any satellites. (in TomTom and Google maps).

Have a question though - as this is the first phone I have had that I am using connected to the internet (last phone was too painful to use), what does everyone use as anti-virus software.
I took ten photos today and the quality was terrible (but I might have set the settings on something low by accident).
