I think the writer has written the review with some vengeance and all that he has to say about HTC Touch is negative.

Slow processor and bad camera are some of major drawbacks of this phone.
The HTC Touch does however lack infrared capability but in modern times of Bluetooth wireless data transfer this seems to be a bit out of fashion anyway.
Thus, it is no surprise that the no autofocus 2 mega-pixel camera of HTC Touch produces poor photos, compared to other phones with the same mega-pixel count.
Sadly, the HTC Touch also lacks some of these features, most notably 3G/HSDPA.
The 400Mhz processor is a welcome step up from the slower alternatives available in some devices, the original HTC Touch included.
I like mine but need 3rd party software to help with the poor keyboards offered on the device.

The missing features are there according to some forums but we await ROM flash updates to ma ke them work. . . .
Tiny pop-up touchscreen keyboard is difficult to use
The problem is the phone is extremely slow and you will be very fustrated using it for anything other that dialing and receiving calls.

One of the few faults with the HTC device is that the built-in keyboard is a little awkward to use.
It has happened too many times before that a phone with these great specifications was equipped with just not enough memory making everything sluggish.

The phone has very low memory, which means install many programs (even on mem card) and u end up with a very slow phone.
Hi, I unlocked my HTC Touch phone, but it is still giving error while making calls, Also that software gave me 10 digit code, when i need just 8 digit.
Phone now unlocked but keeps saying missing sim card for 3 Network(UK).
HTC's proprietary TouchFLO technology allows you to you to quickly scroll and zoom with a set of fingers, and the processor's speedy enough (400 mhz) - unfortunately, connectivity leaves a bit to be desired with a lack of WLAN (on a smartphone, no less).
The onscreen keyboard is surprisingly accurate, even with the pads of your thumbs, but entering a text message on the Touch is several times slower than on a normal keypad.
