Did you ever consider that Nokia had other people in mind when they designed the E90 and that the E90 is the absolute perfect device for those people?
I hope the software is more reliable than with previous communicators.
I arrived at the Nokia Care Centre at Wheelock Place at 3:18pm on 25-July and was told that I would be placed in the “premium queue” as the E90 was a premium phone.

This is one area where the phone's bigger size is an advantage since the extra room allows for large buttons that are easy to press.
Armed with a 330MHz Texas Instrument OMAP2420 processor, general performance was pretty swift.
The device also had no problem finding and connecting to our Wi-Fi access point, and the E90 is equipped with an excellent Web browser.
This dual S60 functionality sounds simple, but it makes a big difference to the user experience and is one of the best features of the device.
On previous generations of phone this would not be a question at all but OneNote in Office 2007 is not a fantastic and highly useful piece of oganisational software.
From a US perspective, the phone is more practical being quad band EDGE rather than 2 triband versions (no having to do research to make sure you get the one that works on all US bands).
The Communicator runs on a dual core ARM11 family CPU at 332MHz and performance is very good by S60 standards.
Music quality through the included stereo headset is very good, as it is through Bluetooth stereo headphones.
Our E90 takes between 1 and 2 minutes to get a fix, unless it's been used within the last hour, then it takes only 30 seconds to a minute.
We tried Wayfinder which doesn't have the built-in solutions rich set of features, and it did a better job of routing but had the same slow acquisition times and lost satellites in-route.
As we'd expect of a strong business phone, the Communicator has WiFi 802. 11b/g.
The E90 has surprisingly good battery life for a smartphone with a large display (make that 2 displays), GPS and triple wireless radios.
The web browser is best in its class and the mail application is decent.
Very good camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and a GPS.
The mobile office and strong PDA features feel a bit hobbled without a touch screen.
Its 800 pixel width, coupled with Nokia's excellent browser, certainly makes it easy to view full width websites, but users will find themselves needing to scroll an inordinate amount, which will lead them to realize the shortcomings of the internal keyboard's d-pad controller.
On the plus side, though, the keyboard is laid out nearly exactly like a regular PC keyboard, and offers large enter and backspace/delete keys.
That's a really nice feature.
The E90's display will also garner some kudos, too, but I think many people will be let down by the poor feel of the keyboard, which limits the usability of its near perfect layout.

Sure it is a very good phone for what concerns its potential, but for what concerns its usability and ease to use. . . for to be as good!
Both screens scored high when benchmarked, but that was expected knowing that the smartphone embeds a powerful ARM11 330 Mhz CPU.
The small secondary display is perfectly visible in strong sunlight, as well as the main display.
The latter is one of the best screens on the market, especially suited for those that are heavily browsing the Internet.

The E90 is obviously based in a much more flexible & advanced OS & can practically do anything you need.

I have an E90 - it is a fantastic phone!
Replacement keypad, perfect as a replacement for a lost or damaged keypad.
Good battery though it drains fast (1. 5 days) if I keep the sync on. Truly a complete phone - but if priced appropriately it might kill other phones in a similar league.
Overall is it a very good phone, excellent 3G signal(still have two bar while others have nothing), upgrade your Quickoffice to 4. 5v and you will get a lot of muscle for the phone.
For us, even with a very strong feature set including HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS, the idea of carrying a" mini-laptop" everywhere isn't our cup of tea.
The case is fairly sturdy and the E90 feels secure inside it.

During video calls, the audio sounded a bit" noisy" but was generally fine and the image display was decent.

The handset is also heavy and bulky.
So the E90 can replace a basic camcorder, too (with the only exception being the lack of optical zoom).

My first E90 suffered from the microphone problem.

Antti Vasara, General Manager of Nokia's Mobile Devices Business Unit, says that the reason why they're restricting the launch is that the E90 is a" complicated piece of equipment and hard to product in large quantities at first.
However, its design is poor and is difficult to use.
As mentioned, the phone has a built-in 3. 2 megapixel camera which is also difficult to use.
My E90, which I bought in October last year has developed a strange problem. . that of a crackling noise on the speaker.
The outgoing audio quality is very poor.
