The sound quality for calls is brilliant and speaker phone mode is more than adequate for conference calls.
Keyboard is fantastic, speed is great, functions amazing. easy to use.
The web browser is also excellent (Opera ca also be installed) and the SIP compatibility for VoIP via Wi-Fi is also most welcomed.
Connectivity is a strong point with Bluetooth 1. 2, infrared, USB, WAP 2. 0, wireless LAN and GPRS all present.
The best feature of the E61i is its keyboard.

The camera is pretty middle of the range with reasonable quality pictures but there's no flash included.
So the good news is that the battery does indeed have reasonable staying power.

This Nokia e61i gives you the best of all worlds - a solid build, great software (a bit slow at times), excellent user functionality, colossal high-res screen and of course, the aesthetic appeal.
The big Pros for me are: email sync with Exchange, wifi, qwerty keyboard, long battery life, and very good sound and voice quality.
Number of software that I put in to the phone is amazing, I have dictionary, voice recorder, several games, picture editor and some other soft that makes nokia e61i very valuable phone.

Now on positive notes, I love the fact that this phone actually has a decent, standards-compliant Web browser.
Since I hadn't used a Nokia in years, it seemed like a good one to try: the E61i's got a nice keyboard and a really nice screen -- although it's only QVGA it's very visible inside and out.
The build quality seems pretty nice.
Compared to this, the M600i and Dash are absolute paragons of reliable usability!
I need something with 3G, good email, good browser, and a decent camera.
The screen size and keyboard are good.
Since its also based on the Symbian OS there are a ton of cool software available my favorite being Fring, a software that allows me to connect to Skype and call people internationally from my Nokia at cheap Skype rates.

At the begining, what this platform (S60 3rd edition, Symbian OS 9. 1) was missing, was software and 3rd party apps, now, IMNSHO, the only thing missing right now in this phones is Speed.

I have a Nokia E61i and it is really a very frustrating experience.
Listed as what they did not like was the width of the device, the placement of the microSD slot and the lack of stereo Bluetooth.
The 2 megapixel camera has a simple interface and takes mediocre pictures.
While I do appreciate some aspects of this phone (namely the great reception), the size, cramped keyboard and overall feel of the OS just don't do it for me. At least this time I can say that I gave a Symbian device a real honest to goodness try.

An odd omission is the camera, some businesses get anal about cameras on phones, but I've seen them used usefully in many business situations, here's a typical usage and there are many others.

The camera lacks autofocus and the snapshots can not be compared to the Sony Ericcson CyberShot camera module.
The existing MM features of this phone are just mediocre.

Features that are particularly slow are those that involve customizing profiles and managing applications.
Finally: crashes, poor battery, slow phone etc. - this are really something I have not experienced with e61i.
The 2MP camera takes mediocre pictures.
But this phone is absolutely not worth it as its size which is very difficult to hold is not quite handy.
With this age of high end technology where the devise becomes much smaller with all available features this E61i is a failure.
Question: Does the e61i run a little slow doing certain things that the P990i does?
