This technology is so smart which undoubtedly enhances the beauty of this mobile phone.
This Black beauty comes with a reasonably wide TFT screen which in technical terms is 2. 2 inches TFT screen, which is capable of producing a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and 16 Million Colours which is pretty good as it displays rich, vibrant content on screen.

Overall the camera on the slide is ideal for taking snapshots but like most phones it cannot match the quality of a standalone camera.

I also find that the camera on the phone is really good, including video capture.
I would recommend this phone to anyone as it is user friendly & an all round good performer.
Although it is a good phone in general I have identified a few (what I would consider) major issues.
Battery I have to say is very good, as long as when you first get it you charge it for a long time without usage so that's a problem solved.
Battery life is decent during normal data & voice usage.
The sound quality on loudspeaker is incredible, better than previous Nokia's I have had.
The camera is good quality & good zoom.
Not bad given its got a huge screen. 2 weeks in, it still feels like a nice, solid, usable handset.

I changed it, been fine since also noticed that the camera on the second phone is better.
Excellent design expect for the plastic back cover which does creak under pressure, but that's a minor complaint.

The camera on the Slide is hugely better than the Classic, in fact it looks like one of the best cameras in Nokia's range.
It's not a light phone - 125 grams is fairly typical these days for a 3G slider.
Last time it happened I was meant to be meeting my young children at the park and they couldn't contact me because my phone had packed up. All in all, a beautiful phone but it doesn't work too well.

The video quality is quite poor.
I eventually worked out the problem of the phone randomly resetting itself to the default, the small metal pin on the back plate was not pushing into the connection point it fits into.
Sounds crazy that Nokia would place such a simple fault on such an expensive phone on the market.
I do wish people would take all things into consideration before claiming the battery is so bad.
Looks like 2 major problems everyone (those who have) has faced are, - Resetting of ringtones etc (may be memory card reader issue). - Poor battery life.

I have a nokia 6500 slide and I had the same problem regarding the sync of the Contacts with iSync.
It also has a poor reception, but I assumed that was the network.
Battery seems very poor so will have to keep an eye on it & didn't realise there was no radio, apart from these couple of minor things all is great, ideal to sneak into my purse in a small handbag for nights out, happy with phone to date.

However, I was disappointed with the lack of video call capability.

Sounds like the speaker is faulty, as you cant have had it long i would either get it swapped or repaired under your warrenty.

The bad side of this feature is that you can't minimize a Java window without having to terminate the process completely, the only exception being the mp3 player application.
Among the disadvantages of Nokia 6500Slide resides the lack of Java-multitasking essential for a certain number of users as well as no proper camera lens protection.
The only part that lacks it is a bottom and top parts of panels made of glossy plastic.
Another annoying thing I have noticed is the low speed of the camera.
It looks like this is one of the slowest module camera, as it takes forever to save a picture.
The candybar embeds 1GB user free internal memory, which cannot be expanded as the phone lacks a microSD slot card.
The sound is very loud, but lacks clarity.
Multimedia is especially looked after with a combined music player and video player that is essentially an all-round multimedia player, the 6500 doesnt disappoint.
Even if its not the most expensive of phones to buy, some of the features that are missing here can be found on less expensive phones elsewhere.
The slide function also fails to auto-lock the handset, which can be extremely annoying when keys are other features are used by mistake.
The tested sample Nokia 6500 Classic had some problems with the net signal receiving.
So, with this size who can say that this phone is a bulky one?
Our only real complaint with the design is the keypad and controls -- they are quite small and feel somewhat squashed, making messaging and general use a little frustrating at times.
Although the 1GB of internal memory is generous and should be enough for the average user, the lack of a memory card slot is the 6500 Classic's biggest issue.
The phone looks expensive and confident without possibility to be mixed up with its rivals.
However, without a memory card slot and FM tuner, this phone seems pretty expensive.

The Nokia 6500 will no doubt take the Nokia slider range to the next level, as gone are days of the chunky, cumbersome, poor camera quality slider phones.
In my point of view, It is quite an interesting phone, however the lack of a memory card slot is a real let down and should make us considering to buy this phone.
Compared to 6500 Slide, the 6500 Classic lacks the Carl Zeiss lens.
Let's just hope that the unit has a defective battery cause there is no reason why it eats up too much power.
The keypad is nicely spaced with ridges for thumb grip while the 2in display is another 16-million colour, QVGA-quality stunner in the same vain as the 6500 Slider.
The biggest complaint with the 6500 Classic is the terribly low battery life, but what can you expect from a phone with so much technology packed into such a slim design?

The battery life of this phone is terrible & extremely random.
The battery life is terrible, I barely goes 36 hours even on standby, & if I am making a call of any length I have to make sure I am by my charger so I can recharge it.
Now to the bad points. - the battery life is AWFUL.
